Overview
Jacob is a litigation generalist, with substantial experience in both civil and criminal matters. He has litigated and won high-stakes or dispositive motions in all phases, from the pleading stage through discovery, hearings, and judgment enforcement. Before joining the firm, Jacob served as an Assistant Federal Public Defender in the District of Arizona, where his successful matters included the exoneration and release of an unjustly incarcerated defendant after over twelve years of imprisonment, and the vacatur of a death-row inmate's decades' old capital sentence.
Jacob is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, Order of the Coif, and of Columbia University, cum laude. After law school, he clerked for the Honorable J. Paul Oetken of the Southern District of New York, and for the Honorable Andrew D. Hurwitz of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
